Identity & Wellness Coaching
Figure out who you are. Build from there.
A client-led coaching practice built around values work, life-narrative inquiry, typology assessments, contemplative practice, and a salutogenic, whole-life framework. The goal is straightforward: a life that belongs to the person you actually are.

very intuitively, your next act and it will be the optimum act. — Ram Dass
Identity is a composite, not a slice
Your health, your work, your relationships, your environment, what you contribute, and the meaning you make of all of it are facets of a single life. We use a salutogenic, whole-life framework to work across the whole picture, because the whole picture is what you actually inhabit.
Your identity is a composite, not a slice
Your body, your work, your relationships, your environment, and what you contribute are all parts of one life with a single person living it. The work has to cover the whole picture, because the whole picture is what you actually inhabit.
Orientation is the work; health is what follows
Salutogenic coaching asks what makes a person well rather than only asking what is wrong. Aaron Antonovsky named three components of a strong sense of coherence: a life that feels comprehensible, manageable, and meaningful. Identity is the thread that runs through all three.
The methods have to fit the person
Templates rarely survive contact with a real person. We choose the tools and frameworks that match how you learn, how feelings tend to land for you, and how you make decisions, so the work belongs to you from the very first session.
About Lee
I am a mindbodygreenâ„¢ Health and Wellness Coach. Before this work, I spent two decades as an engineering leader in Silicon Valley, where I eventually burned out hard, got sick, and rebuilt over several years using functional nutrition, Ayurveda, sustained Zen practice, and a stint as an auditor in a two-year Buddhist chaplaincy program. Most of my coaching work draws on what came out of that experience.
I work now with people who want to do that same kind of honest work in their own lives. The methods I use are practical, ranging from formal assessments and narrative work through contemplative practice and concrete life planning. The orientation underneath all of it is identity.
If you want more detail on how I work, my coaching philosophy page lays it out, or you can follow me on the platforms below.
Areas we can work in
The scope of this work is wide, and we can focus on any of the following. In practice, most clients end up working across several at once, because they tend to be different expressions of the same underlying identity.
Articulating who you are
I use the Enneagram, structured inquiry, and life-history work to help you put precise language to your character, your values, your personality, and the way you have been quietly becoming yourself for years.
Authoring your life narrative
Together we weave your past, your present, and the future you are growing toward into a single story you can stand inside of and act from. The story becomes the spine of every plan we build.
Translating values into daily life
We design the routines, rhythms, and structures that make your character visible in how you spend your time, whether you are at home, at work, in relationship, or alone.
Contemplative practice that fits your life
We build a contemplative practice from Zen, mindfulness, and breath work that suits the life in front of you, rather than the life that some teacher imagines you ought to have.
Working with formative experience
We take seriously how your upbringing, your inheritance, and the harder experiences in your past shaped you, while making sure that none of them gets to write the rest of your story.
Resilience without burning out
We design sustainable energy across your work, your body, and your attention, so that you have the bandwidth to actually live the life you are designing instead of only describing it.
Embodied living
Your body is a domain of identity rather than a project to optimize. We work with nutrition, sleep, movement, and rest in service of who you are trying to become, rather than who you are trying to look like.
Vocation across all of life
Your career can be part of your calling, and so can your relationships, your community, the way you contribute, and what you choose to do with what you have been given.
Crafting a life plan you can walk into
We end with a practical, salutogenic plan that you write yourself, with enough structure for it to survive contact with your actual week.
Find out what’s actually yours, and build from there
Book a free discovery call. The conversation is about where you are, what has been weighing on you, and whether this approach fits what you are looking for. There is nothing to commit to.
How to get started
What working together actually looks like, from the first call through to the point where you are living the plan we built.
Step 1: Discovery Call
We meet on a free 30-minute video call. You tell me what has been on your mind, and I tell you honestly whether the work I do is right for you and whether the two of us are likely to fit. There is no pitch in this call, and nothing for you to sign up for.
Step 2: Get oriented to who you are
Our first few sessions are about orientation. We use the Enneagram, narrative-based inquiry, and structured values work to give you precise language for your character, the formative experiences behind it, and the personality you are working with.
Step 3: Map values to virtues, virtues to a life
Once you can name what matters most, we translate those values into virtues, and the virtues into the way you live. That translation happens across body, relationships, work, environment, and contribution, and it becomes the spine of the plan we build together in the Life Narrative work.
Step 4: Walk into the plan, with support
From there we settle into a regular coaching cadence, with accountability, contemplative practice, and a weekly check on what is actually changing. We keep going until the life you described in our early sessions matches the one you are actually living.
